I invited the sixth form of my alma mater in Leiston Suffolk to sit for a traditional 70’s style school portrait - instead of wearing school uniform I asked them to dress in a way that reflected their interests or personal style - the results were much quieter than I expected and invested with a slight pathos - however, I did feel that I captured a more honest version of the dreaded school photo for them to reflect on in years to come - The title of the piece is the actual response from the student in the suit and tie to my query as to why he was dressed so smartly -
